Are you looking for some serious Belize adventure? Maya Mountain offers a full array of Belize adventure tour options from White Water Rafting to Overnight Jungle Camping, from Horseback Riding to Mountain Biking, from Kayaking and Canoeing to Caving. For adventure, Cayo, Belize is your kind of place. We recommend moderate fitness for these tours.
The optional packages are all inclusive from porter to transfers. Meals, guides, transportation, entries, lodging, tax, and service charges are included. We will meet and transfer you to the lodge on the first day. Tours that are included in the package are on non-transfer days. Note - Guide tipping is not included You choose the tours on any of our Tour inclusive packages.

Barton Creek Cave Canoeing. A visit to Barton Creek Cave involves spending over an hour paddling canoes along an ancient Mayan waterway inside the mountain. Your guide will point out skulls and artifacts as you pass between stalactites. This is one of the largest caves in the world. The high ceiling and beautiful rock flows and cathedral chambers make this a beautiful place to photograph. We then head into the mountains for an afternoon of swimming in mountain pools and enjoying waterfalls.

Tikal in Guatemala. A very early departure takes you to one of the most famous Maya sites. This World Heritage Site in one of the best known natural history destinations in the world.($20 surcharge on this cross border tour)
Zip Line and Canopy Walk provides a chance to get close to Monkeys and other wildlife.($40 paid directly by customer)

Actun Tunichil Muknal (ATM) was featured on the cover of National Geographic Traveler Magazine. Swim into the cave with full gear and then explore where human sacrifices were conducted in past ages. Be prepared to be wet most of the day...

A 1/2 day of guided horseback riding (min 2 people)

Kayaking. Spend the day exploring the Mopan River spotting Iguanas, exotic wildlife and plants as you maneuver the class 2 and 3 rapids.

Che Chem Ha Cave where over 30 undisturbed ceramic vessels have recently been discovered. Use ladders and ropes to visit the ceremonial room where a stela still stands.
Visit a Mayan Ruin in the afternoon (either Cahal Pech or Xunantunich Ruins). |

Cultural Adventure - Visit the farmer's market as you explore the town of San Ignacio on your own. Enjoy the people and commerce of the area. Take time to sample tamales and visit the local ice-cream parlor.

is more expensive than other tours (but well worth it! It can be paid
