Macal Jungle River Canoe / Panti Medicine Trail
This half day expedition is one of the highlights of the Cayo District. Guests paddle down the vine-covered Macal River in canoes. The guide will point out iguana, kingfishers, Toucans, and other wildlife. If lucky, you may spot a river otter, Grey Necked Woodrail, porcupine, or an elusive jaguarundi. Ferns, bromeliads, strangler fig trees, and many other tropical plants adorn our beautiful river banks. You'll see Hanging Rock, Monkey Falls, Cristo Rey Village, and other sights en route. This trip can be combined with the Belize Botanical Gardens and / or Butterfly Farm to make it a full day.
